Friday 4th June

1620. Both boats launched to a report of a 24ft day cruiser "Pace setter" broken down and drifting dangerously towards the Sandbanks ferry.

The ILB made good speed to the casualty and when it arrived on scene they found that the casualty had been taken ashore to Sandbanks beach by 'Beach Rescue'. The ILB took the stricken vessel under tow and back to Cobbs Quay.

1750 ILB launched to a report of a man on Round Island with a dislocated shoulder. The ILB could only be launched due to the state of the low tide, they were the only ones who could get to the casualty.

When the ILB arrived on scene the casualty was found to be in too much pain to travel back ashore on the ILB. A helicopter was requested and the casualty was air-lifted to Poole Hospital.

The three boys who were with the man were taken back to the boat house and then transferred to the Hospital where they met up with the casualty.
