The Inshore Lifeboat was launched at 1518 to assist a 51yr old
lady who had collapsed on board the yacht "Migitana". The woman
had blacked out for about 4 minutes and when she regained consciousness
she was very shaken and pale. When the Inshore Lifeboat reached
the yacht two first aiders went aboard and administered oxygen.
They stayed on board while the ILB escorted the yacht to Poole town
quay. The lifeboat men then passed the woman into the care of an
ambulance crew.
Both boats were launched at 0200 in the morning to a report of
four people attempting to steal a dinghy from Salterns Marina with
one paddle. There were concerns for the occupants of the dinghy
as they seemed a little worse for wear! After an extensive search
of the area nothing was found and both boats returned to station
and the crews to their beds.
