Update on The Tyne Project

Christian Kosial is a regular visitor to the Station and plans to be at the station open day this year. He is currently working on the model of the Poole lifeboat City of Sheffield and has just started painting the hull.
In the prior instalments you can see pictures of the fine work to detail the stanchions, fenders and railings around the hull.

Christian comments ‘ I´m very busy with my Tyne lifeboat and I hope I achieve my aim that the hull will be completely painted by the time we come over. The Red is washing by Airbrush so that it looks old and affected by saltwater for many months. The other colours are painted but must be sanded before I´ll brush the clear varnish. The Tyne is a hard work because of it´s size. I needed so many meters of tapes :-) but I´m looking forward to sailing the boat.
I am now making the preparations for the special electronic functions and have found a special electronic sound module that can programmed with all of the original sounds of the City of Sheffield!'
