2,000 spectators enjoy the annual Blue Boar bath race on
New Year's Day 2007.
Around 2,000 spectators enjoyed the spectacle of 13 entrants struggling
to stay afloat at this year’s Blue Boar bath race.
The Good Samaritans came away the eventual winners after
most of the other competitors took the unusual approach of trying to win
the event as submarines. They were followed home by BP and Bob Dokey.
The crew of Poole lifeboat entered a craft that probably
won’t be chosen as a new design for next year by nearby boatbuilders
Sunseeker but they also supported the event ensuring the safety of the
competitors.
