Saturday 5th August - Street Cyclists

Ten cyclists from Street have raised an amazing £2,330 on a recent sponsored bike ride.

The motley crew cycled over 56 miles starting from Street in Somerset via Sherborne, concluding their journey at Poole lifeboat station.

They were met by Coxswain Jon Clark who thanked them for their efforts and showed them around the station and lifeboats to illustrate where their fantastic amount of money may go to. He said: ‘It’s always a pleasure to meet people like this who have given their time to do something so challenging and support us by raising an outstanding amount of money in sponsorship.’

The ten cyclists and their support team spent a well deserved night at The Lifeboat College and then came down to support Poole lifeboat station at their Open Day the next day. Three of them then went onto cycle back to Street!
