Fisherman's Regatta.

Poole Lifeboats were in the thick of the action at the recent annual Fisherman's Regatta. The Lifeboats joined in the fun and water games, squirting vessels with the salvage pump and escorting the flotilla around the harbour for the race.

Quite a few of the crew who had the day of from the lifeboat where dressed up as pirates, onboard the local fishing boats, and were targets for "Flipper" who was manning the salvage pump hose, but "Flipper" got a good soaking too as some of the fishing boats had quite powerful hoses on board,good fun was had by all .

 

This last picture was taken during the race round the harbour. Wonder why this boat is flying the "Spanish" Flag ?
