James joined the crew in 1999 and after doing a stint as Full time Mechanic and then a short spell as engineer with Sunseekers,he has gone back to where he first started, working alongside "Viney" at the Harbour Commissioners. James will now be seen at the helm of the ILB he did 20 shouts in 2005. James believes that his good looks are marred by an enormous nose, but the rest of us know that it's his sticking out ears and multiple chins. With his brother Mike, he has just become a boat owner and the rest of the crew are looking forward to rescuing them in the not too distant future.

Facts: Aux nurse "florence"

Simon joined the Poole Crew after re-locating from Shoreham, where he gained most of his RNLI training (Cheers Shoreham!). His father was a fisherman so, he's been at sea since he was a tot and is a wizard with rope. He's a bit mad and certainly a character but you know where he is because you can usually hear him coming! Simon helps out with the visits as well as being one of the busiest crew. Simon did 42 shouts in 2005.
