The boat is equipped with VHF radio,
MF radio (over 200 miles), DSC (digital
selective calling to call on broadcast
or to a specific boat) and HF (global)
radio. GPS navigation is linked to DSC
to automatically notify the boat's position.
To assist navigation, more than 200 charts
from Eastbourne to the Lizard can be seen
on the monitor.
The boat is equipped with a Kelvin Hughes
depth finder. Poole harbour depth varies
from 20’ to 50’ just outside the harbour.
The boat is also equipped with a Simrab
Tang sound direction finder and an electrical
management system.
To aid night vision for the helmsman and
brightness for the navigator, the front
of cabin of boat is black and the back
is white, separated by a curtain.
